BEST AERIAL YOGA BOURNEMOUTH
If you're looking for the best aerial yoga (Bournemouth) for beginners/ a complete novice, you just found the best!
WHAT IS AERIAL YOGA?
Aerial yoga is an amazing class to give you that extra challenge even if you don't have yoga experience (yes!) & for those who are already advanced practitioners in other styles, you will be in for a surprise how I can custom to challenge your mind-body connection to another whole new set of class. The aerial silk hammocks do many things that can't be replicated, they aid traditional yoga postures to help you achieve more stability & deeper stretches without any compression on the joints. It uses a little bit of body weight manipulation with gravity & positioning. I have learned so much by traveling, teaching, & learning with some of the best aerial teachers around the globe.
TRADITIONAL YOGA POSTURES
Let me tell you, if you do some form of yoga practice class prior to aerial, you will be surprised that it adds to the dimension of your practice as it will help you deepen it, & if you don't already know, yoga postures work only the pushing muscles & it moves you mainly in one plane of motion/movement, while aerial challenges your body in more than one dimension, giving you a complete workout with both pulling & pushing muscles, balance (vestibular), motor control, endurance, & focus on your self.
IS AERIAL FITNESS/ YOGA SAFE FOR BEGINNERS LIKE ME?
Aerial yoga was uniquely developed to help with the rehabilitation of the acrobats when it first started & with my experience of working around the globe learning, & teaching both professional teachers training, & classes in Singapore, Malaysia, India, & of course the UK, I have enough experience to ensure the best aerial yoga experience for both aerial & yoga classes. Unlike yoga classes, aerial helps to take off weight-bearing movements which are practised in most yoga studios all over the world, & for most people, all you need not another session such as Bikram power hour classes that may put your joints through compression & inflammation.
IS THERE A WEIGHT LIMIT TO THE SOFT SUSPENDED FABRIC HAMMOCK?
The hammocks I use in all levels of aerial classes have slept a male African baby elephant in a very natural relaxed form to sleep, in other words, my hammocks have a tearing load hold of 200kg (not including the daisy chain & other aerial rigging that helps to offset more load.
CAN I LEARN AERIAL YOGA ONLINE?
While the learning process is achievable through online learning (e.g aerial yoga academy), there is no substitute for live learning & going through the experiential part of hands-on teaching/ learning how to teach real students, & learning to avoid mistakes that many teachers make without realising. My time learning in Singapore through Flywithming, & the ASTTC (Aerial Specialist Teacher Training Course) with Integrated Training Institute was nothing short of the best learning experience, creating space for new students, & making sure everyone is safe while enjoying aerial.
